The Parent Operator

Provided by the FMS Development Team

If you are writing code in a subform or subreport, use the Parent operator to refer to a control on the Main (Parent) form or report.

For example:

Use  Parent!cboStateLocation
Instead of  Forms!FrmLocation!cboStateLocation

If the form or report is renamed, the Parent operator protects you from any errors occurring.
