The Access Cascade Conference was a virtual conference that had an exciting lineup of internationally-respected presenters, including Microsoft Access MVPs, book authors, and members of the Access development team at Microsoft.

FMS President Luke Chung was invited by the Denver Area Access Users Group to give an online presentation on "Access Remote App".
Remote Desktop and RemoteApp let your users run Access applications without having to installing anything on their local machine. That includes Access, the database, and any related programs. It lets users run the program across the network or Internet, from their PC or even a Mac.
Luke Chung demonstrated different approaches depending on whether the host is internal or in the cloud, and for backend databases in Access and SQL Server.
The Denver Area Access Users Group has made Luke's presentation "Access Remote App" available for everyone to view.

FMS President Luke Chung was a presenter at the Virtual Microsoft Access DevCon 2020 in Vienna, Austria on April 23, 2020. He gave a presentation called "Remote access to Access", which is available for everyone to watch.

FMS friend and Microsoft Access MVP Karl Donaubauer organized a Microsoft Access conference in his hometown of Vienna, Austria the weekend of April 1-2, 2017. He has organized many Access conferences in Germany and Italy. This was his first conference in English.
FMS President Luke Chung was a featured speaker and discussed Microsoft Access Strategies and Products. Many of the world's leading Microsoft Access developers spoke with Luke.

FMS President Luke Chung was invited by the Portland Access User Group for the 5th time to speak at their annual event. Held at the conference center of Silver Falls State Park south of Portland, Oregon, the weekend event included some of the top Microsoft Access developers, enthusiasts, and Access development team members.
Luke presented on Microsoft Access automation of Office programs such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word. He also participated on multiple panels discussing Microsoft Access, consulting services, and running a business.

FMS President Luke Chung joined several other Microsoft Access MVP speakers at the one day event for Microsoft Access developers. In addition to Luke, speakers included the organizer Armen Stein of J Street Technology, George Hepworth, Tom van Stiphout, Andrew Couch from the UK, and Kevin Bell from Microsoft.
Luke discussed upsizing Microsoft Access databases to SQL Server and SQL Azure.
November 13, 2013, Cannon House Office Building, Washington, DC
FMS President Luke Chung testified before the US House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security about the Healthcare.gov website. This committee is responsible for all security issues on .GOV web sites. The hearing was entitled: Hearing: Cyber Side-Effects: How Secure is the Personal Information Entered into the Flawed Healthcare.gov? Luke is on the second of two panels.

Migrating Your Data Tier to SQL Server: Strategies for Survival

Typically migrating or loading data from one platform to the next is the easy part. This interactive session explores the pros and cons of the tools to help you get there: the SSMA Migration Assistant, the Access Upsizing Wizard, SSIS and BulkCopy. More importantly we'll discuss techniques for dealing with common problems, such as data type incompatibilities and application architecture. We will also explore moving data from Excel, Oracle, and Access to SQL Server. This session will feature open Q&A from the audience to a panel of experts.
