Thank you! Thank you! I just finished reading this document, which was part of a link in the recent Buzz newsletter. I have printed it for others to read, especially those skeptical on the powers of Access and its capabilities.

Pin Commonly-Used Files to the Office MRU Files List for Easy Access (in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Provided by: Molly Pell, Quality Assurance Manager

In many Microsoft Office programs, a list of most recently used files is accessible when you click on the Office button:

This displays the latest files that were opened, allowing you to quickly access recent files. In Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, you can customize this list to keep files that you need to have handy, but that you don’t necessarily always have in the MRU Files list. Simply click on the Pin icon to the right of the file name, and the file is pinned to the list. This means that it will not be kicked out of the MRU Files list, regardless of how many files you open, essentially keeping a Favorites list.

Note that this link is a shortcut to the file, so the link will be broken if you move or rename the file. To update the link, you can click on the Pin icon to un-pin the old shortcut, then open the file and pin the new shortcut the same as above.
